Synopsis: Lieutenant Beryl helps break Steel out of police custody when she realizes that Rosie left a message in her own blood implying that a police officer is involved in the serial killings. The skin under Rosie's fingers matches Adam Kroft, a missing person from Chicago, the same city Detective Carroll was from. Lieutenant Beryl sets herself up as bait to catch the serial killer. She is attacked by Alter, who is taken out by Steel. It is then revealed that Alter, Detective Carroll, and Adam Kroft are all part of the same metahuman split personality.
