Isn't he wonderful? Those eyes... that smile. He's the most marvellous person ever.
Synopsis:
Fred proposes to Polly over fish and chips, but she loves him and says yes. The next day she is sent out from her job at Smith's Typing Service to work for a secret client. The client turns out to be pop sensation Paul Crane who wants her to type letters ending his relationships with a dozen girls. While they are working, one of Paul's old girlfriends comes in, threatening to sue him. To pacify her, he makes up a story that he is getting married to Polly. It satisfies the other girl, but as soon as Polly tries to leave they are mobbed by reporters who have been tipped off about the marriage.
