Daryl Halbert records the albedo (reflectivity) of planets. He receives a message to return to Earth quickly. His spaceship is damaged on his way back and he is rescued by aliens. He is told that they are on their way to Earth to destroy it! Earth's albedo is falling and when it reaches zero it will break free from the Sun and become an undetectable space menace. Halbert asks for time to find a cure and is given 7 hours. He discovers that Earth has a covering of glassy space dust. Bruce Carlton; Gloria (Bruce's girlfriend); Clark Hale (space-disc-jockey); Cyrus Crane; "Orion" Batson (interplanetary outlaw)
Out among the nine solar sytem planets, in the 22nd century, goes the interplanetary broadcast of the space-disc-jockey, playing requests...
Bruce Carlton has arranged for Clark Hale to play a song for Gloria on the radio. Hale plays a song that insults Gloria. Carlton goes to Hale's studio but it is empty. Carlton deduces that the catalog number for the record relates to an asteroid. There he finds Hale trapped in a crater. Hale tells him that he was left buried treasure by Cyrus Crane who loved his program. "Orion" Batson overheard everything except where the burial spot was and took him to the asteroid. Carlton and Hale burrow underneath and take the treasure before Batson can. Later Hale plays a proper song for Gloria.

Doctor Munston; Special Agent Blake
Weird enough were the strange disappearances of our country's most guarded secrets...
Munston cannot find out who is stealing from the missile testing base so calls in help. Blake arrives but finds nothing wrong with security and so sets up cameras to trap the thief. The film shows furniture coming to life and stealing items. They approach a couch which fights and almost defeats them until it is stunned when it falls onto a generator. Outside more creatures come to life and the captured creature shrinks out of sight. The creatures are followed to a crevice caused by a recent earthquake. They send a signal down the crevice which blows up some explosive in a stolen warhead.

Professor Elliott Saunders; Marcus Drake; Tom (caretaker); newspaper reporter
At first, it was a tiny speck--almost a nothingness--seen only through a powerful microscope!
Saunders and Drake find a microscopic animal that has been destroying their mineral specimens. They try to kill it and after many attempts leave it overnight under a positive ion beam. Next morning the lab is destroyed and footsteps lead through a hole in the wall. They follow the trail to a town under construction. The town caretaker escapes and warns them but then a ray from the creature melts their Jeep. Bullets also melt but then they notice that the windscreen of the jeep hasn't melted. They use a portable negative ion generator behind glass to shrink and destroy the creature.

Martin; Parker; Ellis; Jose
To me, they appeared to be three odd, but rather interesting fiesta masks--
In South America Martin buys three fiesta masks from a street hawker. Jose tells Martin that his mask is the Mask of Mastery and there were two more masks, of Fear and Doom, made at the same time. Martin dons his mask and finds he can control animals. He sees Parker wearing the Mask of Fear and surrounded by fearful demons. He trips Parker up and the mask falls off and then he stamps it to pieces. They then see a train accident and a cart on fire caused by Ellis wearing the Mask of Doom. Martin dons his mask and orders animals to remove the other mask. Later all masks are destroyed.
