Ad states: "Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies Comics featuring Porky Pig, Bugs Bunny, Petunia, Elmer, Sniffles, Mary Jane and other famous Leon Schlesinger characters".

This would have appeared before Leon Schlesinger sold his cartoon studio to Warner Bros, and Porky Pig still had star billing over Bugs Bunny. Though he existed as a character at the time, Daffy Duck had only spotty, occasional appearances in the Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies title and was probably not considered worth mentioning by the creators of this ad.
