Synopsis: Linda’s father Ben was a famous athlete and he raised Linda to excel in sports: “nobody loves a loser!” At college, Linda shows off by defeating all of her erstwhile boyfriends in sports. She loses a tennis match to Ronald and sprains her ankle; they become friends but when she recovers she humiliates him in a rematch. Ronald says her “win at all costs” attitude is obnoxious. Ben apologises for bring up Linda “as a champ instead of a woman,” and urges her to reconcile with Ronald. She does.
