Trigger Twins
Hunting the Anvil Gang, the twin sheriffs are seen by a lumberjack who tells the gang. The Twins needs to keep their dual-sheriff identity secret. They stuff spare costumes on a log and shoot it down a flume at the villains. The gang shoots up the "twin sheriffs" long enough for Storekeeper Walt and Sheriff Wayne to nab them. "If we hadn't listened to your crazy story - we wouldn't be on our way to jail!"

Strong Bow
Thorg, a hunted Viking pirate, lands to conquer Atlantic-seaboard Indians. They summon their champion Strong Bow with a coded drum beat. But the hero allows himself to be captured. Strong Bow jumps overboard, breaks the steering rudder, grabs a bow and arrows, knocks shields flying and pierces the sails, then "anchors" the boat to run ashore. More Vikings arrive. But they come in peace and take Thorg prisoner. "Once again our people shall live in peace!"

Johnny Thunder [John Tane]; Swift Deer
JT's protege, the Indian boy Swift Deer, faces a manhood test, which must be mandated by his father, the chief. When Johnny stops a rampaging bear, the chief assigns an "impossible" task - to rescue JT from a peril yet unknown. Swift Deer sticks close - and Johnny worries he'll learn his secret identity as a schoolteacher! Johnny saves himself from a wildcat. Then tumbles into a raging river! Swift Deer saves Johnny from a "demon fish" (a freshwater shark?) and is soon made a brave. He'll still follow JT, but no. "From now on, you follow your own shadow!"
