Julius Schwartz's editorial records, provided by DC Comics, show Ross Andru as being paid for the pencils and inks for the cover, however Mike Esposito worked with Ross and scholars agree he inked this cover. Schwartz kept editorial records for Robert Kanigher who edited this issue.

Robin Hood
French Normans have supposedly stolen gold for King Richard, and left for France. Robin Hood vows to "never set foot on English soil" until he's recovered the gold. In fact, an English baron stole the gold. To keep his vow of never stepping on English soil, Robin boats, swings in trees, rides a horse and stag, rolls in a barrel, and even runs on a bolt of cloth to reach the castle and recover the gold.

Robin Hood
Robin enters the town of Kingsbury and finds it deserted. In the next village, they explain, by law, if Kingsbury is deserted for a full day, anyone can claim the town. The Sheriff bullied everyone out. Why? Robin races before the Sheriff's men and declares this "Robin Hood Town". The Sheriff's men chase him across roofs, down alleys, and even into a well all day long. But the sun sets and Robin still has possession. The villagers return. Robin found a vein of silver under the town - and the villagers change the name to "Robin Hood Town".
