The Trigger Twins
Trigger Twins
Floyd Burke, the "Reward Robber", only steals from the banks the amount of his own bounty. The Twins convince the banker to put up a $20,000 reward, but Walt is coshed while guarding it. Both brothers dress as Sheriff to pursue, but Walt is knocked cold by a grizzly bear. Only by working together to shoot and load do the heroes chase off the bear and drop Burke in his tracks. Still, Walt, the sham sheriff, longs for the day his heroic "storekeeper" brother is cheered by the townsfolk.

Johnny Thunder
Johnny Thunder rides shotgun on a stage on a plain, but the Gopher Gang pops up out of hidey-holes. JT is coshed from behind, his head bandaged. The Sheriff wishes his son, John Tane (JT's secret identity), would fight beside him rather than teach school. The Gopher Gang raids a bank. Sheriff Dad is hit, and JT tries to protect him, but is brushed off. JT fells the gang and reverts to John Tane - in a hat to cover his bruise! For the first time, the Sheriff wonders if his son is Johnny Thunder, but no, John is felled by a sign and clonked on the head! "I'll never be sure..."

Foley of the Fighting 5th
Fort Desolation is surrounded by an army of Comanches. Lt Foley drops a fake message telling of reinforcements, then sends Tall-As-A-Hill - a double agent-scout? - to sneak into the fort. The Indians launch an immediate attack. Foley's small troop make a mad rush, yelling like a regiment, while other troopers stampede the Indians' horses. Alerted by Tall-As-A-Hill, the besieged cavalry rush out. "Outnumbered", the Comanches retreat. And Tall-As-A-Hill is hero of the day!

Strong Bow
The Aranki Indians once a year undergo a "tongue-fast" where nobody speaks for a day while the gods ponder their fate. Strong Bow barely saves a girl pitching through rapids in a canoe, because she remains silent! An Indian boy trapped by a bear makes "smoke signals" with a geyser and is also rescued by fire arrows. That night Valley Warriors attack the silent tribe, but Strong Bow blows the signal horn and conveys the chief's orders. The chief says, "The Great Manitou (God) must think kindly of his people to send the great Strong Bow to protect them from danger!"
