Oddly absent was the typical misunderstanding about "having a turkey for Thanksgiving dinner" that occurs in such stories. Though deliberately soft-pedaled, Mr. Tom was actually intended as the main course, if not for the intervention of Chip and Dale.

Searching for a lost explorer high in the Andes of South America, Mickey and Goofy learn of termites that eat stone!
Mickey, Goofy, and Dr. Artifact escape from the high mountain on llama-back to warn the authorities of the stone-eating termites and Slunk's evil plans for them. A tense situation ensues as a llama-riding Slunk, with a metal container full of the terror-termites, catches up to our heroes - and an angry group of natives pursues all parties.

At the adventure's end, the Chilean authorities deal with the titular "Threat of the Stone-Eaters" in an uncharacteristic way for such a story... "[The stone-eating termites in Slunk's metal container] shall be destroyed! And rest assured my government will find a way to exterminate those left in the valley!".
