Kitty; Larry Crain; Joan Fleming; Eleanor Washburn
Larry is being posted to Korea from Japan and Kitty has seen too many army romances end to believe hers will survive. To avoid heartache Kitty drives Larry away, but she feels worse and is soon jealous to see him with Eleanor Washburn. When Eleanor comes looking for Kitty, she refuses to speak to her. When Eleanor insists, Kitty hears that Larry is still crazy for her. She decides to share every remaining precious moment they can and to wait for him.

Beth and Peter fell in love at first sight. But as Beth watches friends get married, she won’t wait for Peter to establish his TV repair shop and be secure financially. She breaks up and tells her friends she’s back in circulation. She sees Peter with another woman and is hurt that he’s moved on quickly. To help forget him, she clears out his leftover belongings and returns them. At his new shop, she discovers he is waiting desperately to see her. He has a draft marriage licence ready for her to complete.

Racing car driver Ed is a car salesman by day. He refuses to sell Anne Frank a sports car and loses his job for the insult. He reports his concerns to Anne’s father, who likes Ed and hires him. Mr Frank knows his daughter can be a brat, but he’s given up trying to control her. Tensions mount between Ed and Anne. When she enters a cross-country speed race, Ed plots with Mr Frank to take over driving. After the race, Anne is furious that Ed could have been hurt because he didn’t know the car or the road. But it’s a sign she cares and the pair kiss.

Peggy won’t marry until she finds the ideal man. She decides it isn’t school sweetheart Glen, but thinks it might be Monte, owner of the new furniture factory. She doesn’t believe it when Glen reports Monte is engaged to Jean Tyler. It’s true, but Monte promises to end it as Peggy is the only woman for him now. By accident, Peggy sees Monte tell Jean in a very cruel way. Peggy realises the same will happen to her when Monte finds his next girl. She’s missed Glen and seeks him out—he’s the ideal man for her.
