Captain Ken Quarles; the alien sorcerer; Lt. Haller; Evans
En route to Planet Z, Captain Quarles and his crew come upon a planet sized crystal ball, projecting images of the future. The Alien Sorcerer makes his appearance and warns that the visions could come true if Quarles' ship doesn't turn back. One by one the images come to life, until Quarles determines that the images are all illusions being projected by the Alien Sorcerer using rocks with telepathic qualities from Planet Z as part of an elaborate plan to keep others away from these stones.

The Space Ranger
Space Ranger; Myra Mason; Cryll; Jewel-Men
Jewel Men land on Mars to steal selenite. Space Ranger confronts them at Mars Harbor, having some success with a sound beam that destroys a few. The Jewel Men threaten his ship and Myra, and escape in the confusion. Cryll was ineffective during the fight because of a coating of ammonia on the Jewel Men, which gives Space Ranger a clue to where they are hiding. The Jewel Men are using the selenite to create more Jewel Men, and their jewel machinery sucks Space Ranger in. Cryll saves the day by morphing into a Saturnian Vibro-Deer, whose vibrations destroy the jewel and the jewel men.
