Synopsis: Chris is part of a scientific team using a computer to research why some personalities are so popular. Her hard work seems to be recognized when she is offered a promotion, but she is also told that the board expects her to be married. She states that she doesn't have anyone in mind, but her boss tells her to register her own name with the computer in an attempt to find her best match. Unable to refuse without casting doubt on her own research, the computer declares her best match is a popular singer that she has no interest in.

Synopsis: Vickie is engaged to an aspiring musician, but becomes disenchanted as his music always comes first and she receives little attention. When an music producer and his star singer attend a party, Brian gets a chance to audition for the producer, but the singer only has eyes for Vickie. Vickie starts seeing Carl and when a photograph of them together is printed in the newspaper, Vickie and Brian break up. Carl takes Vickie to Paris, but wants to sleep with her without getting married. Vickie returns to England where she strikes up a friendship with an architectural student.
