Finding Spider-Man a little weaker than she supposed, Ana shoots him up with mutant growth hormone. With his costume and his roomie both missing, Peter borrows a Daredevil costume from Matt Murdock and heads into the sewer looking for his friend. While Ana releases "Spider-Man" for her hunt, Peter is viciously attacked by Vermin and fears he will not reach Vin in time to save his life.

Recovering in the hospital, Vin is approached by Spider-Man who comes up with a pretty reasonable explanation as to why a super villain thought Vin was the web slinger. Vin is not amused. With her first hunt a partial failure, Ana runs home to her mother.

Menace tries to kill Spider-Man, and illegal sweatshop workers run out of the building. Peter takes the facts to Ben Urich, and Sally Floyd discovers that the building is owned by mayoral candidate Randall Crowne. Crowne turns to Norman Osborn for help, and Norman calls his Thunderbolts. Betty Brant goes to cover the mysterious healings at the FEAST, and Aunt May admonishes her for working at the Daily Bugle. Eddie Brock is at FEAST, Li puts his hand on Eddie's shoulder, and strange things begin happening in Brock's body. Peter returns home to find Norman and the Thunderbolts waiting for him.

The Thunderbolts search New York for Spider-Man but he takes the fight to Norman while his men are out in the field. Sensing his former host nearby, Venom breaks into FEAST looking for Spidey. Instead he finds Eddie Brock and Eddie reacts to the touch of the alien costume by transforming into the white Anti-Venom.

Spidey arrives and tries to engage the two combatants while Martin Li and Aunt May get the homeless to safety. Menace attacks Bill Hollister. Spidey sets his camera to take pics while he leaps between Venom and Anti-Venom once again. Anti-Venom uses his new powers to try and "cure" Mac Gargan of his alien infection. He then turns his attention to Spidey and begins to remove the spider induced radiation, from his blood. Norman finds Spider-Man's camera snapping pictures on a nearby rooftop.

Harry brings Ben Urich solid proof that links his dad with mayoral candidate Crowne's trafficking in illegal immigrants. Harry then visits Lily in the hospital where she has been watching. Norman discovers that Spider-Man's camera has a mechanism which targets the spider symbol in Spidey's costume to keep him in frame. Norman and the Thunderbolts prepare to use this technology to target Spider-Man.

Bullseye and Thunderbolt agents attack Spider-Man and end up blowing up Harry's coffee shop during the battle. Spidey quickly discovers how he is being tracked and turns the tables on Bullseye. Anti-Venom shows up to help Spider-Man track down Osborn. Norman, now in full Goblin regalia, provides Gargan with a new Scorpion costume complete with the new poison.

Norman spins recent events in the media to make himself look good. Lily kisses Peter. Aunt May sees a violent side of Martin Li that she didn't expect. Eddie finds that the poison's effect is temporary and heads off into his new life as Anti-Venom.
