Walking home from a Dracula movie, Tara and Synn seemingly find themselves on Jungle Island and have to battle a Vampire Queen. She fades away as suddenly as she appeared. The reader learns the illusion was caused by Voodoo Priestess Umbra.

Tiger Girl; Chief N'Tombi; Kara, N'Tombi's daughter; Chaka (villain); Abdola; Ali Hassim (villain)
Chaka, Prophet of the Ape God, demands each tribe give two women to be the god's priestesses. Kara is chosen from the Wasuli; Tiger Girl tries to stop the caravan but is driven off. Chaka reveals the women will be sold to Ali Hassim as slaves. Tiger Girl and Abdola attack the slave market and free the women, and Tiger Girl kills Chaka.

Ivory hunter Danson hires natives to raid his camp and seem to kidnap him, luring his partner Ives to attack the Zambezi village to avenge his "death" while Danson makes off with all their ivory. Sheena exposes the plot, reconciles Ives and the Zambezi, and sees Danson off to the authorities.
