Most of the story from this issue is retold in issue #97; some of it redrawn, some pages reprinted directly (pages 6-17, 19 in this original are reprinted as pages 15-26, 28 in that issue).
The story was changed slightly; for instance in the original the final creature was turned into a "pile of slivers and splinters" by Wonder Woman (Flash says "destroyed"), while in the updated story it was "planed down to its bare essence", still clearly intact.

Synopsis:
Martian Manhunter, Aquaman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, and Green Lantern relate strange occurrences they had with weird meteors and their occupants from outer space, which resulted in turning JLA members into wood.
