In Joe Sinnott's job book, this story is named "Untidy Romeo", suggesting this was probably the initial title, changed to "Shameless Wife" sometime after Sinnott handed in the work.

Since this is also the cover story, perhaps someone thought that "Shameless Wife" with a picture of the wife laying provocatively on the couch would make a much better cover on the newsstand than "Untidy Romeo". The cover art by Giordano mimics a panel inside the story, but it was only a minor panel in the story itself and is not nearly as suggestive within the context of the story as it appears on the cover.
