Ellen starts thinking about old beaus and Jim takes up golf to get away. Ellen decides to make an effort to be extra sweet to Jim, but he hardly seems to notice. But as she is dreaming of her first romance that night, Jim wakes her with a kiss and they resolve to make their marriage a success.

Then he recalls his role in helping a girl named Millie stay out of jail, not knowing she had taken bonds from a safe. Realizing he didn't do anything wrong years ago, he declares that Lillian is going to marry the fellow she likes.

Paul and Ruth start dating, but Paul is disappointed to learn that Ruth has lied about her parents. When she confesses her lie, they go to visit Ruth's parents and eventually get married.
