Gail Roberts; Dick Lewis; Lorna Weston; Bruce Fleming; Nurse Crosby; Sheena; Velu; Muttiah
Although Gail Roberts was the prettiest nurse at St Joseph's, she never flirted with the male patients by so much as a flicker of her long lashes.
Even the exciting city of Colombo and having the best-looking fellow on the island doesn't make pretty nurse Gail Roberts happy.

The last page of the story has the typical promotion for the next title in the series. In this case:
Blue Rosette Romances No. 80 "Runaway Bride"
But "Runaway Bride" would actually be published under the 'new look' Star Love Stories as Blue Rosette Romances issue number 100.
A New Look for Love & Life Library No. 98

Promotional text proclaimed: "Two weeks from now, the first of the new look "Love and Life Library" will be in your newsagents."

The cover displayed for the next issue of Love & Life Library ("Mantrap") would carry the prominent 'Star Love Stories' logo in addition to the smaller legacy Love & Life Library logo. Since both "Love and Life Library" and "Golden Heart Love Stories" shared the same monthly issue numbering prior to Star Love Stories, "Mantrap" was actually published as Star Love Stories No. 99, not No. 98 (although the Love & Life Library logo would be maintained for several years).

The primary difference between Star Love Stories and the legacy titles it inherited (Blue Rosette Romances, Golden Heart Love Stories, Love and Life Library, and Silver Moon Romances) would be a full-color pinup on the back cover of each issue instead of the previous half-page black-and-white pinup.
