This character was created originally by publisher C. H. Albrecht at the end of 1945 for his proposed Atlas Comics #1 (whose inside cover was dated March, 1946). But the magazine never reached fruition. The character was actually based on body-builder Charles Atlas and the issue contained a letter from Atlas himself. When the story was finally printed in this issue of Daring Adventures (#18), the letter was dropped.
