Synopsis:
Following directions from Rainbow Reiley, Tracy and Sam locate the fur smugglers' hideout. Tracy disguises himsemlf as a telephone lineman and climbs a pole so he can watch the crooks. One of the crooks spies him, and Rughead and his cohorts flee. Tracy and Sam give chase. A gun battle ensues, and one of the crooks is killed. Rughead and Happy escape. Tracy finds a girl's photo in Rughead's hideout. He disguises himself as a worker with a broken arm. Tracy enters the cafe where the girl works and allows her to "discover" he's an undercover cop, all part of his plan to smoke out a killer.
