This story is a comically exaggerated pastiche of what it was said to be like to have the first TV set on your block, with folks always dropping by to see what's on your TV, and antenna issues as almost a constant.

Story is a mix of four-tier and three-tier pages.

The original concept of "overstaying in Dreamland" came from an original Felix newspaper strip continuity by Otto Messmer from the 1930s.

It was later reworked by Messmer and Joe Oriolo into a three-part story for Pat Sullivan's Felix the Cat (Harvey, 1955 Series), #72 (June 1956) and later reprinted in issue #108 (March 1960) of that series.

Part of the "Felix Magic Carpet Fantasy" series.

Story is a mix of four-tier and three-tier pages.

Felix the Cat had found a wonderful home.
Rattled by the everyday sounds of the alarm clock, loud trucks, automobile horns, fire engines, and the like, Felix buys a pair of earmuffs to shut out the annoying sounds. However, he finds that, in complete silence, he misses-out on a number of "good sounds" - including the call for dinner and a radio quiz show prize.

Ad offering mail subscriptions to Felix the Cat at 60ยข for one year or $1.00 for two years.

While this ad does offer subscriptions to Dell's Felix the Cat title, the ad copy makes no specific references to Felix over five paragraphs...

PARAGRAPH ONE: "Follow the adventures of your favorite characters every other month. They are tops in wholesome entertainment."

PARAGRAPH TWO: "A subscription to this magazine also makes an excellent birthday present."

PARAGRAPH THREE: "If your subscription is a birthday gift, fill out the special information on coupon and a personal birthday card will be mailed by us announcing the gift with best wishes from the donor."

PARAGRAPH FOUR: "2 years- 12 issues- $1.00 1 year- 6 issues- $ .60"

PARAGRAPH FIVE: "If yours is a regular subscription and not a birthday gift, fill out left side of coupon and leave right side blank."

The above paragraphs, which make no mention of Felix the Cat or his specific comic book title, are positioned on the left side of the page. Opposite them, on the right side of the page, is a single illustration of Felix being drawn by an artist. Above that is the Dell Comics logo, and below (in a black box with white lettering) are the words "Subscribe now to Felix". Just "Felix" and not the proper title of the magazine, "Felix the Cat".

The combination of the illustration and the box below it would have it seem designed to accommodate the "dropping-in" of any character illustration and the name of any title - and perhaps Dell used it as such.
