Bill Bumlin
Bill Bumlin; Mc O'Boy; Ma
Sap! Y' can't hunt birds without a bird dog!
Bill goes hunting and feels guilty when he thinks he's shot a bird (which wakes up and pecks him in the nose). He decides to become a Robin Hood but his first victim is a magician whose top hat contains a stampede of wild animals.

This seems to be the first appearance of the "Bill Bumlin" feature. It appears to be set in a fantasy world of angels, since everyone has wings. After a few issues, the strip would change to non-fantasy domestic humour and Bill would become a bumbling, hen-pecked husband (with no wings) in the contemporary world.
