Synopsis:
The Apollo becomes more successful than ever during the 1960s as Ray Charles breaks out with soul music and books Motown groups. James Brown records a live album at the Apollo, encouraging more artists to do likewise. However, increasing social unease in Harlem results in smaller white audiences.
