Pat goes home to give Greg another chance, but Pauline tricks her into thinking she’s Greg’s new sweetheart. Ellen throws a party and invites Greg, who explains Pauline’s deception, and he and Pat are reconciled.

Donna leaves town for an “inexpensive resort,” where she hides her economic status. Donna falls in love with Milt, but mistakenly thinks he’s also a fortune hunter. Milt explains that he’s rich, and hid his wealth to discourage women gold-diggers. Since they’re financially compatible, Donna and Milt can wed.

Joyce refuses to be part of the scheme, because she loves Ronald herself – and he reciprocates her affections.
