Synopsis: The Champions have greatly expanded their membership, and the original members are evaluating the performance of their many new teammates, while staying openly congratulatory. Spider-Man seems unhappy and disconnected from the high spirits of the day, perhaps because it looks like he's made a mysterious bargain with Mephisto.

Synopsis: In this flashback chapter, the original Champions team battles the electrical menace Zzzax, who kills Ms. Marvel and Viv. The demon turns back time so that the fight can be repeated with a different result, and only the boys remember what originally happened.
