Super-powered youth Ron-Avon forces Superboy into a multi-part duel by threatening to destroy the Earth. Splitting the Earth duels they adjourn to Belgor for the deciding rounds. Once Superboy wins, he learns that Ron-Avon's loss places his family and himself under sentence of death. Superboy fakes his opponent's death, then joins Ron-Avon's family in a rebellion against Belgor's dictators. Once victorious, they re-establish peace and democracy, honoring Superboy as he returns home.
