New story.

"Texas Tom" was also the title of a 1950 Tom and Jerry theatrical short, that has the unique distinction of appearing in Volume One of the "Tom and Jerry Spotlight Collection" DVD set as well as being (perhaps erroneously) included on its successor, Volume Two of the "Tom and Jerry Spotlight Collection". The short and this story are completely unrelated.
