Superman is cured of Virus X because the Bizarros exposed him to White Kryptonite, which destroyed the plant-like bacterial infection. However, when he returns to Earth he learns that no one is still in mourning, because his Justice League friends have been masquerading as him, keeping him "alive" until Supergirl can train a Kandorian replacement.
