Synopsis: Accountant Frank Connelly receives a small box in the mail. Inside the box is a bullet with Connelly's name on it and a threatening note. Connelly suspects it may be Devil Garvie, who has just been released from prison after serving a 10-year stretch for an armed holdup. Connelly testified against Garvie at his trial. The police hire private eye Guy Marden to impersonate Connelly and stop Garvie before he makes good on his threat.
