W a - a l! Cousin Sad!
Cartoonist Fred Rhoads cunningly weaves veiled references to the Harvey Publications extended family and their insatiable appetite for money [potatoes] by employing sarcastic devices in a clever parody of the Harveys as a backwards southern family in competition with other comic book publishers (e.g. potato rustlers represent Archie, DC, Marvel, etc.) vying for same market.
