As fall approaches, Dinky cannot master his flying lessons for his first southern migration and turns to writing poetry instead. His poetic proclivity wins him an airplane flight to Miami, getting him there before all the flying ducks.

First appearance of Mitzi Mouse (Mighty Mouse's regular "girlfriend") and The Claw (Mighty Mouse's recurring foe). Despite her normal appearance as a brunette on the cover, Mitzi is a redhead in her first "story-appearance". The Claw also looks somewhat smaller and less intimidating than he would in future stories. The "St. John Mighty Mouse continuity" - which would carry through the entire St. John run, and even into some reprints seen in mid-1960s Gold Key issues - begins here.
