While Michael Maltese wrote only one Huckleberry Hound cartoon during his time with Hanna-Barbera, the humor he demonstrated as the sole writer of the Quick Draw McGraw cartoon series is on full display here. Throw in the cynical nature and snappy dialogue seen in the previous story and Maltese gets the call here as well. Pete Alvarado draws this story in a perfect classic Hanna-Barbera style.
