This story is an accurate comic book adaptation of the Flintstones TV episode “Christmas Flintstone” (Season 5, episode 15, Air Date: December 25, 1964), written by noted animation writer Warren Foster.

The song Santa/Fred sings about "Dino the Dinosaur" in the TV episode is replaced in the comic by Santa/Fred reading a story about how Dino, Pebbles, and Bamm-Bamm worked together to bring Christmas snow to Bedrock, but the rest of the story is true to it's source material.

The visual designs of various member of the "Cave Kids" are seen as "extras" in the department store scenes involving kids.

First lead story art for this series by Phil DeLara, after the passing of regular artist Harvey Eisenberg.

Fred's use of the word "Ug!" possibly points to Bob Ogle as having written the comic book adaptation.
