The lookout aboard a ship that's passing the marooned couple in the night, gives an alarm as he sights a small flare on the water far astern.
Dart and Loraine are rescued from their raft in the middle of the sea by a ship bound for Vancouver Island. Much later a sailor recognizes Dart as a pirate, a fight ensues and he is put in chains. He escapes in a small lifeboat and finds that Loraine has smuggled herself away too. They are shipwrecked and attacked by Kawitshin Indians.
