Tyke convinces Spike to adopt a dog from next door because he wants a brother. They bring the dog home and name him Spike Junior. Big Spike and Little Tyke
Spike; Tyke
Spike and Tyke beg for sausage links from a butcher who gives them some. The butcher told them to go on home so Spike says they have to wait until they get home to eat them. By the time they get home the sausages are frozen, so they start an old log on fire to cook them. The old log turns out to belong to a rabbit and after they can't find a new home for him he takes over their doghouse. Because they burned up his food with his home they now have to go beg for carrots for him.

Big Spike and Little Tyke
Spike; Tyke; Slug
Tyke tries to get Spike to play outside with him but Spike says it’s too cold. Tyke figures out that Tyke would come out if he needed to chase a prowler. He then sees a prowler dress up like Santa Claus so he makes sure that their house looks inviting for the thief. When he tells Spike that there is a thief there Spike says that it is Santa and he deserves to take a few things with all of the stuff that he gives. Tyke puts bones in the thief's bag so that Spike will get mad and chase him away. He puts the thief's fake beard and mustache on Spike so that he can go outside and stay warm.
