Al Milgrom confirmed 2006 that he did not pencil this cover. Cover is an homage to the story in The Amazing Spider-Man #33 (Marvel, 1962 series). The original cover art was by John Romita with possible Gil Kane layouts. On the original art Flash Thompson was in the position of Razorback. The printed cover was altered to turn the Flash Thompson into Razorback and another Flash Thompson figure was added in the background. The additional artwork appears to have been added by Keith Pollard and Frank Giacoia on the mechanical and not the original art.
