Synopsis:
Norma had been in love with Jack Stevens since they began high school, but he only saw a plain and studious girl who got good grades. The only way she could get next to him was to tutor him in trigonometry. Realizing that her parents didn't want her to wear make-up or dress like the other girls she felt desperate in grabbing Jack's attention. So, when popular Carinna Williams offered to help her with boys, she agreed. But for that advice, Corinna wanted Norma to run her campaign for class secretary. Norma made wonderful posters for Corinna, all noticed by Tommy Johnson, who was running for class president. After the election, and Corinna's victory, Norma was furious when she found Corinna kidding Jack. Running home, she was greeted by a telephone call from Tommy asking her out. In response, her mother helped her with make-up, and her father sprang for a new gown. Norma looked great and was the wall flower no more.
