Although this one-page gag begins with the logo for "Richie Rich, The Poor Little Rich Boy", Richie himself does not appear in the story. It would seem more appropriate to have branded this with a "Cadbury, the Perfect Butler" logo.

A working premise of the story is that Professor Keenbean will find a way to temporarily dye molten gold blue so that it will look like water, but the issue's colorist apparently didn't get the memo about that - the gold remains a gold color throughout the story, but crooks still mistake it for hot water.

Richie Rich
Richie Rich; Professor Keenbean; THX-113 [Big Mouth]; unnamed workmen
The Professor demonstrates a robot that "consumes" currency and coins by sucking them in, and then storing them in a compacted state, with the ability to later dispense exact amounts on demand. However, once it begins operating, its appetite becomes unsatisfiable. Richie thinks of an ingenious way to stop it from eating all the cash on the Rich estate.

The robot's formal name, THX-113, might be a reference to George Lucas's first feature film entitled THX 1138.
