Gail; Dick Flanders; Chet Morse; Ace Hanley
Dick loves Gail but doesn’t display the “fiery possessiveness” she desires. “I want a man to fight for me like a wolf for his mate!” When Chet invites her to the Lilac Club, Gail has Dick drive her there and then dumps him: Dick gives up “without a struggle!” Gangster Ace makes a play for Gail and Chet stands up to him, but is nearly shot to death as a result. Gail knocks Ace out and is afraid she’s killed him; Dick returns and takes responsibility (but Ace is only unconscious). Gail realises Dick has “a moral courage” and decides to marry him.
