Frank asks fellow high school teacher Carol to help with student Alfred's lack of motivation. She does, but Alfred develops a crush on her. Carol tells him that she’s engaged to marry Frank, although this is a lie: Frank is too busy working on his doctorate to spend much time with her. Carol and Frank finally work things out and Alfred turns his attention to Peggy, who is his own age.

Peggy is stopped for speeding on the way to a dance. The policeman who gives her the ticket is Matt, who turns out to be the blind date she was set up with for the dance. They fall in love. Matt stops her again at a later date and gives her a “ticket” which is a marriage proposal.

These stories often use the name of the alleged true-life contributor, but in this case this is "A true love story sent in by Sally Wilson of Dayton, Ohio" and yet the main character has a completely different name.
