Upon arriving at their time and place destination, a sign says the year is "1836", while a later line of dialogue says the year is "1846".

Good Bit: Jumping into the "wishing machine" as their usual "naked selves", Heckle and Jeckle emerge in outfitted in full western garb. JECKLE: "Well!! Here we are, old boy!! That's one advantage of being cartoon characters!" (Double exclamation points are as they appear in the comic.)

--------------------------

There are apparently TWO eight-page Heckle and Jeckle stories titled "The Urge to Travel" - BOTH drawn by Jim Tyer. This one and also a 1952 story - originally printed in Paul Terry's Comics (St. John, 1951 Series) #92 (May 1952), and reprinted in Dinky Duck (St. John, 1951 series) #12 (January 1955).

In the other story titled "The Urge to Travel", Heckle and Jeckle construct a Magic Telegraph Box that "will telegraph PEOPLE instead of MESSAGES". These two stories are not to be confused.
