José goes along with the gag, but later makes unwanted advances on Millie. Ted rescues her. Millie and Ted will be wed.

Linda falls in love with college student Tom, but they can’t marry until he finishes school. Linda decides she’ll marry Ed so her siblings can have a better life, but the two children run away when they overhear Ed saying he’ll send them to boarding school. Linda breaks up with Ed and will wait for Tommy.
