What some people won't do to thelp others! Take Funnyman for instance.
Larry overhears a young woman pleading with her lover to flee the area, but he (Charles Cheval) threatens any rival of his with death if they try to make a move on Dolores as he leaves. Funnyman decides to teach the man proper American etiquette when it comes to women, and the two end up in a duel. Armed only with a wooden sword, Funnyman is no match for Cheval, who stabs the Daffy Daredevil in the heart, which is really a bag of red ink. When Dolores and her escort see this, she knocks Cheval to the ground, Funnyman slices Cheval's belt (causing his pants to fall down), and Cheval slinks off.

Here's a tale that's a mass of contradictions. Funnyman is a comic riot -- and yet he isn't!
June and Larry attend a "crook nabbing" lecture at City Hall by Sgt. Harrigan when it is announced that the "World's Slyest Jailbreaker", Slippery Sam, has escaped again. Funnyman and Sam duke it out, with Funnyman being knocked out by Sam, who then switches outfits with the hero and walks out of City Hall unmolested. It's only when June kisses "Funnyman" and his nose falls off that she realizes it's not the hero at all, and Funnyman eventually takes care of the fleeing felon.

A crazed doctor invents a robot girl to serve as a feminine lure for potential victims, luring these victims to dark street corners, dropping a hanky to the ground, and when the victim reaches down to get it, the robot bops the victim over the head with a mallet and cleans out their pockets.
