Last Golden Age appearance. Next appears in All-Star Comics Vol. 2 #1 (May 1999) and dies in that story.

Lance Blackwood is a by-line found on this strip and is also the pen name of Dan Zolnerowich. Zolne did no writing and the he is known as an artist only for this feature.

Writer and art credits from the Quality Companion (TwoMorrows, 2011 series) #nn (November 2011).

The U.S. General in this story looks suspiciously like Commissioner Dolan in the Spirit strip.
