With Great Power Comes Great Coincidence

Story  on  Interior Page(s)
Subject Matter
humorous, superhero
Present, Weasel and the Great Lake Avengers try to figure out how to bring Deadpool and Al back through time. In the past, Deadpool uses his image inducer to impersonate Peter Parker (Al plays a very grumpy Aunt May) and tries to convince Weasel to fix his teleporter to get back to the future. Kraven and a swinging party with Peter's pals get in the way but Deadpool is able to manipulate Weasel into helping him, and all he has to do is wreck his buddy's life and future well being to do so. Deadpool and Al make it back to 1997 with the timeline intact as a nervous Watcher collapses in relief.

The title page is a spoof of the movie poster for Forrest Gump, a movie where Tom Hank's character was cleverly edited into historical footage; In much the same way, Deadpool, Al and a young Weasel are drawn into the events of Amazing Spider-Man (Marvel, 1963 series) #47 for the "past" sequences of this story.

The Drowning Man Part 1 or Things to Do in Iowa When You're Deadpool

Story  on  Interior Page(s)
Subject Matter
humorous, superhero
With his sanity slipping, Deadpool hits the road with Weasel in search of Siryn. Instead, he finds T-Ray who sets a time and a date for their final showdown. He also encounters Zoe who warns him to stay away from T-Ray and certain death. When he finally catches up with Siryn in Iowa (at the "Field of Dreams" baseball field, no less), he has to punch his way through Warpath to get to her. Teresa gets mad at the violence and the jokes and ditches him. But later that night, after Deadpool has drowned his sorrows in scads of beer, she returns to the baseball diamond and the two get it on.

Monty
Deadpool sleeps with Siryn at the "Field of Dreams" baseball field but, in the glorious light of morning, Deadpool has a serious case of coyote ugly as his partner in whoopie turns out to be none other than Typhoid Mary in disguise. Still reeling from this stomach churning turn of events, Deadpool discovers that Weasel has been visiting Al behind his back. He puts the pair of betrayers in "the box" and heads for Golden Gate Park for a final confrontation with T-Ray which concludes his less than stellar day in a rather appropriate manner as T-Ray kills him.
