The Witch's Cauldron!
The Old Witch (host); Dr. Max Forman (death); unnamed woman (death, in flashback); Anthony Jackson (salesman, death, in flashback); Everett (villain); Sidney (villain, Everett's brother)
Sidney and Everett live in a shack by a swamp. Every so often, Sidney switches a nearby road sign to lure people into the swamp, where dimwitted Everett amuses himself with dismembering the unfortunate drivers. Finally, though, the swamp gives up its dead. All the victims, with mismatched parts, climb from the swamp and give Sidney a taste of the same treatment they received. Everett is puzzled by the fact that his still-living brother's limbs now protrude from odd parts of his torso.

The Vault of Horror!
The Vault-Keeper (host)
Philip is having a bad day: he's abducted by a mad scientist and has his brain transplanted into the body of a gorilla. When Philip breaks free of his restraints, the scientist is killed by a heart attack, and Philip has no way of returning to his own body. After resigning himself to his fate, Philip returns to the zoo where the gorilla came from to spend his life in a cage, playing the role of a beast. People come from miles around to see the gorilla that "killed" Philip. Philip's own family visits the zoo, regarding him with hatred for taking their husband and father away from them.

The Old Witch (host)
The Queen is never satisfied with the work of her servants. The seamstress, decorator, and painter constantly endure her complaints and threats, and all three fantasize about how they'd like to kill her in their own unique ways. One day, they decide to go through with their murderous thoughts. The seamstress sews a canvas to a picture frame designed by the decorator. Then, the painter mounts the Queen's head in the frame. Voila! A perfect likeness!

The Crypt of Terror
The Crypt-Keeper (host)
Louella loves her gardens. I mean, she REALLY loves her gardens. Her husband, Godefrey, can't walk three steps without having her screech at him about stepping on one flower or another. Godefrey suggests they invite some of their friends to the house for dinner and so they can admire her flowers. What Louella doesn't know is that a vindictive Godfrey is planning a big backyard barbecue. After the party, Louella's prized gardens are a shambles, and she's devastated. As Godefrey continues to gloat over his joke, Louella decides the barbecue isn't quite over, yet...

The Inferiors

Story  on  Interior Page(s)
Subject Matter
science fiction
An expedition to find inhabited worlds finds nothing but destruction on planet after planet. The populations of all these worlds were of the same space-faring race, but the populations are now extinct, and the explorers don't know why. Then, they find an old recording that explains that the aliens had achieved their evolutionary peak and were now slowly devolving into violent beasts. Rather than allow that to happen, most of them chose death. However, a small group wanted to live, so they were left on a distant planet: Earth. There, they devolved into the "violent beasts". Us.

The Trial of Adam Link

Story  on  Interior Page(s)
Subject Matter
science fiction
Tom just inherited his uncle's estate, along with the robot, Adam Link. Despite the fact he is reasonable and polite, Adam continues to face persecution from humans. He even saves the lives of people trapped in a burning building, but nobody sees him do it. Finally, he is brought to "trial" to decide if he should be allowed to exist. The trial is a sham, though, and the verdict seems a foregone conclusion. While waiting outside to learn his fate, Adam saves a child from being killed by a car, causing onlookers to question their hatred of Adam. Then, the verdict comes: death by electric chair.
