When vaudevillian Winton went for a walk with his two monkeys, he was killed and robbed. His monkeys identified the killers. This was commemorated with the North Borneo - Scott #214 stamp (1939).

The story lists the date was December 6th, but the wreck was on September 6, 1838. It also lists she won the Albert Medal for Lifesaving, which wasn't created until 1866. Instead, she and her father won the RNLI Silver Medal.
