Synopsis:
Superman visits an orphanage in Smallville and tells the children there a story that his mother Lara had told him on Krypton.
Princess Reena goes into the glass forest and sees a thought monster. The monster chases the Princess up a glass tree where she sees a kiri-bird. She tries to tell the bird that she needs help.
The bird flies off and pesters a tree-sounder called El-Kin who thinks he hears the bird say that Reena needs help. He follows it, sees the monster and chases it away.
El-Kin and the Princess are soon married. The kiri-bird is often seen in the garden but never speaks again.
