Ellen Carter (nurse); Dr. Craig Whitney; Hank Peters (pilot); Patricia Long
Ellen is a nurse on a military base in the Middle East and is courted by Hank. However, she's fallen in love with Craig who believes she and Hank are a twosome. Hank wants to marry but Ellen gently puts him off. He flies into the desert, apparently to kill himself. Shortly thereafter, Ellen returns to the States and finds employment in a hospital. One day, Craig walks in. He takes her to an apartment where Hank is living. Hank didn't die in the desert but crashed and lived with nomads for three months. Craig insists that Ellen marry Hank after all the turmoil he's been through but Hank surprises the two by introducing them to his fiancee, Patricia. Ellen is free from any obligation to Hank, and Craig proposes.
