Synopsis:
Star meets Tony at a cancer benefit ball. After he hears her sing, he hires her for his new television show. They date during rehearsals and fall in love. In the show's premiere episode, Star sings but, unknown to her, Tony clowns-around behind her. The audience loves the horseplay and the show is a success, but Star is humiliated and furious. She kicks Tony out of her life and finds a few modeling jobs. Tony tries to contact her but she won't take his calls and discards his letters unopened. One day, she hears Tony's show is threatened with cancellation because of her sudden and unexplained departure. She doesn't want to ruin Tony and, with his agent's assistance, she surprises everyone by appearing unannounced on his show. The audience greets her with an ovation. Tony is overjoyed and the two agree to marry.
