Studio mailroom clerks Starlet and Fritzi get a ride home in a rainstorm from star Gary Brant. They pretend to be visiting Broadway actresses but their bluff is called when they claim to live in the same ritzy apartment building as Brant. The two young women disguise themselves as maids to escape.

They offer newsboy Danny and his pals ten dollars to ask them for their autograph while in the restaurant. However, neither young woman has the money to pay and a wild brawl ensues. Glitter makes his discovery of a new star: Danny.
